Fear Not Radio was the interactive audio component of the Fear Not Project.
Fear Not Radio
It invited participants to call the Fear Not phone line and record anti-fear messages.
Over the span of the project it grew to include hundreds of messages from participants ranging in age from 2 to 82, and in over 15 languages.
You could also call the toll-free number and listen to Fear Not Radio: all of the anti-fear messages played on a loop.
For installations, an immersive environment was created in which voices came from different corners of the room, or traveled from one corner to the other, giving the impression of an invisible crowd. Here is a sample.
And an experimental musical rendition of Fear Not Radio was created for an exhibition at the Box Factory in 2011 by local “shamanic noise jazz band” Cartoon Justice.
