I had fun painting my flag this week.
Being an oil painter, the speediness of working with acrylic was a bit strange to me, and after a couple of hours I kept touching it, making sure, “Is it really dry already? Really?”
Thankfully, it was, and it is now safely in the hands of the Hayes Valley Art Coalition and will be hung next here:
And then the second exhibition at 580 Hayes opens today and features one of my oil paintings, as well as a number of the new letterpress and mixed media panel pieces. It will be up through September 28th, with gallery hours Tuesday through Sunday, 10 – 6.
Finally, I apologize to any of you who are newsletter subscribers, as it appears there was a glitch with MailChimp last week and it didn’t send out my blog newsletter on Friday. Hopefully I am now clear of these technological snafus.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
