Some local art spaces I enjoy visiting:
Great exhibitions often involving unusual materials.
Always thought-provoking and in a space that allows
for a personal experience of the artwork, especially upstairs.
Art you can walk on. I loved going to rug stores
when I was a kid and I still do. There's just something magical about them, and especially about this store.
Great exhibitions, great classes, and artist studios.
I sometimes miss the size of their old space but
they're still turning out great community programs and inspiring exhibitions.
My favorite work is often in their project space,
off the main gallery.
Not an art space, but a fabulous arts organization that
supports artists with life-threatening illnesses and hosts numerous fabulous exhibitions and art auctions every year.
